Rite Track, a leading manufacturer of track systems for the
semiconductor, MEMS and thin film head industries, was awarded the 2005
Governor’s Excellence in Exporting award.
Ohio Governor Bob Taft presented the award to Rite Track at a luncheon ceremony held in Columbus, Ohio.
“To succeed in today’s global economy, companies must aggressively explore opportunities to sell their products in various world markets,” Taft said. “This year’s “E” Award winners have proven that Ohio companies not only succeed at home, but also thrive in the international arena.”
Tim Hayden, President and CEO, received the award for Rite Track. “This is another great example of what an all-star team can achieve. Our exports are almost 50% of our total business, we are proud to be a world wide supplier of high tech products.”
Established in 1985, the Governor’s Excellence in Exporting Award recognizes Ohio companies that have increased sales volume through exports, have increased Ohio-based employment as a direct result of export activity, or have developed and implemented a strategy to expand their international sales. Since 1991, more than 300 companies have received the award.
Rite
Track had previously won the Ohio Department of Development (ODOD) Emerging
Technology Award in late 2004 and is a two-time winner of the Pinnacle
Award, honoring the 50 fastest growing companies in the Cincinnati
/Tri-State (Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky) area. Tim Hayden, President and CEO
also received the Ernst & Young 2005 Entrepreneur of the Year Award for
Manufacturing in the South Central Ohio and Kentucky region earlier this
month.
